Cats of the USA started out as a small club in 1996 called the cats K club.It had 6 members, and never really did anything of much use to cats. I, being the "fearless leader" of the group, decided to rename and totally change the little club. It turned into Turkish Angoras USA- a club devoted to the breed of cat I dearly loved. I still wanted to continue helping all cats, so I added a branch of the club called Project Stray. TA USA went through three years of changes of administration, ideas, rules, ect. untill I realized: This club has nothing to do with Turkish Angoras at all! I renamed it Cats of The USA, and kept the Project Stray branch. We've been the same for two years, and plan to for the rest of our lives.
