This is a feline leukemia+ classifieds page.

Sometimes, it's very difficult to find homes for cats with feline leukemia, not matter how cute. I had a case of finding a kitten carrier a home in less than a week, or he would be put down. I was under alot of pressure. I couldn't stand the thought of the little bundle being put down, so I worked non stop that week finding a home. It was practically impossible. Then, someone responded to an add that I had posted online, and the kitten (named Luke) got to go to a nice home with another FeLV carrier. If the person that responded to my add is reading this, I hope you and Luke are great!

If you have lost your beloved cat to the dreadful disease FeLV, my heart is with you. Any time, it is hard to stand the grief of loosing a cat, but if you've been expecting it for so long, sometimes, for some crazy reason, it just surprises us more.

     I know it is really difficult, but you should try to deal with your grief.Think about (I know this is going to sound wierd) what your cat would have told you to do. You should, if possible, adopt a kitten or cat that is a FeLV carrier. Before hand, you'll probably be saying, "No way! Not after my other cat died!" but that's not true. A carrier lives a normal healthy life. THEY AREN'T SICK! Adopting a carrier will help cats with feline leukemia, and it will help you get over your grief. If you have a creative hobby, use it to express your feelings! Don't hold it in. If you wanna cry, cry! Do whatever you feel like doing. It might seem stupid to cry at that moment, but everyone around you WILL UNDERSTAND! Everyone has been through what you're going throught. Just don't hold it in.
